BTW SY very smart Tux!!
The fellow standing next to me managed to get 24 out of 27 wines correct in a blind tasting put on by Robert Parker, the (in)famous American wine critic. I did not do quite so well...😀
Though English, my father lives in Argentina. I have been there a few times.
Good things about Argentina
J L Borges
The beef
Che Guevara
Malbec
Artisan beers
Not so good things

Sniffing in my family tree, I found a couple of Jewish ancestry, seriously.

😀
My Father, a wise Irish Anglican countryside cleric, strongly counseled those who had similar "Family Tree" curiosity to cease that nonsense as they would only find that it was not so long since they left it! 😉
Another thing: Argentina contains parts of Patagonia.........with the best Sea Trout [sea run browns] fishing imaginable!🙂🙂🙂
Terrible winds, but still - if you can survive the travel from Europe - a once in a lifetime experience I am told by those who have been.

When I was there the winds are not so bad in the lake district parts of Patagonia. But I have driven from Comodoro Rivadavia on the east coast to El Bolson by the Chilean border, and there is nothing but wind and scrub and occasional guanaco.Another thing: Argentina contains parts of Patagonia.........with the best Sea Trout [sea run browns] fishing imaginable!🙂🙂🙂

Another good thing I forgot to mention. Argentina has good mountains.

Thank you !
But it's not something I worry about, on the contrary, it's good to know my roots. 😎
The Germans have a saying: If you shake the family tree of any German, from some branch will fall a Jew.
Globalization is not a new concept... 😀

That is one nice looking fish there Brian but who's the good looking guy you got to hold it for the picture? 😉
Digital cameras are useful for fishermen...
There used to believe in their stories.
It tells of a fisherman who was a liar, to avoid their exaggerations they tied his hands.
Opening hands said: such was the eye of that fish ! 😀

Sorry to rain on your hopes Cal - that fish was returned to breed! As for the guy...no idea.

I truly believe that this forum should be taken as a global example of coexistence between different races, cultures, ideas and religions.
Despite our technical disagreements, and even our frequent quarrels, the world would be a better place if it worked as our forum.
Maybe I just be a dreamer ... who knows ? 🙂

popilin, those are nice thoughts.
I have a request for all. We are bordering on the discussion of banned subjects here so let's not go any further and heed the wise words of our friend popilin...

- without actually discussing those matters.
Cheers.

You know popilin, it wasn't you I was thinking about. 🙂
So do not worry, I'm looking for pictures of a supermodel, nobody will believe that she is from my town. 🙂
With all her clothes... well, I will do my best. 😀

The new Pope really is a good man, it is said that the move will be easy, he only has a few books, a "mate" and the shirt of his football club. 😉
His old shoes already were photographed by the media !

Hi popilin,
I completely agree. What I LOVE about diyAudio is people from all over the world helping people, cooperating, "The Illusion of World Cooperation"
Otherwise I would have been out of here years ago.

Hi Mark
I think that more than an illusion it's a reality. 🙂
Just look at some cases when the amplifiers do not work, post after post, even months to solve the problem, it happens every day here ! 😉
