Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! True nostalgiaCertainly was ADHF shop !
I played the tuner car game in the mid 80's. I ordered my parts from a man named Shelby and went hunting Mustangs with a 4 cylinder Dodge. Fun till it blew up. Build it back better (where have I heard that before). Repeat. Eventually I got tired of the game. I had reached the torque limits of any transaxle that could be stuffed into an L body Chrysler (Charger / Omni / Horizon).I like it to tuner cars. 20 years ago when I started tuning cars, parts were scarce. Knowledge was scarce. You had to order from Japan and couldn't even read the listing.
System, Yes, DIY 4 audio power amps of about 50 WPC for the regular speakers and a bridged amp of about 100 watts for the 15 inch thumper in the back. The car is long gone but I still have the DIY amp and the store bought cline level crossover.
When I took it to the drag strip I would open up all the windows and crank the same racing tune every time, except for the days they allowed open exhaust. Disconnecting the exhaust at the downpipe off of the turbo made for a difficult launch but added almost 10 MPH to my trap speed. This was the 1980's in Miami Hollywood Speedway. Their launch box was concrete. The average driver in a stock 5.0 Mustang ran in the 14's. A good driver in a mildly tweaked Mustang went low 13's. I could beat most Mustangs if I got a good launch without wheel hop. The game was much easier on the street where the tires would spin a bit. The trick was going straight with the FWD torque trying to rip the wheel out of your hands. The car also had an ultimate top speed of 154 MPH where the rev limiter killed the fun at 7200 RPM. That's far too fast to be going in a FWD econobox.

I have a 2015 five-knobs, but not shown, the others are a 2250B and a 2270. I'd rather say "smooth" than "dark" to my taste... 😉
Ah, the Mighty 2325... I would have been pleased to own an export one, but they are very rare and costy here, and often in poor condition... So I gave up ! 😕
Yes, you are right 😎 :
Plus :
- an Audio Research SP3A1 preamp and a D76 amp, both from 1974.
- a McIntosh C712+MC7100 "slimline" set.
- an Accuphase E-560 integrated class A, with its DAC-50 and AD-50 extension cards.
- a NAD 114 preamp.
- a Technics SL-1200G turnable (bought in April 2023).
- a DIY SRPP Anzaï tube/phono preamp.
- some DIY tube amps (OTL and SE).
- Some Yamaha and Marantz CD players.
My first real audio system was a Marantz 2220B,. Back in '74 or so...
I can not believe the absolute stupid prices people are asking for those nowadays.
eBay is by far the worst. People jumping on the train, who have no idea about audio...
The 2325... looks like a 747..
All of my vintage units were taken down to the bare metal with ALL boards redone... by a specialist who lives near by. Done to OEM specs, NOT upgraded. I had the 2325 and 4415 rebuilt, but I gave the 2240 away, just not one of their best sounding units, so I gave it to one of the techs at work.
I also parted out a Kenwood KR4070, which IMHO sounds better than the Marantz. We used the OP for the rebuild of my KA3500 and gave away the rest.
Would you pay $3000 for a 2325? I certainly wouldn't.. for that price you can get an ARC VS110 and a used/DIY B1 buffer...
Same thing with the Sansui 8080 and 9090... waaaaay over inflated... while the later G receivers sound much better - even though their OP is made up of unobtanium "high speed" transistors.... took us six months to find a set to rebulld my G7500.
The vintage market no longer makes any sense to me. I always wanted a tubed Luxman preamp but I don't think I'll bother anymore.

No I wouldn't go so far too for a Marantz 2325. My one-owner, premium condition Audio Research SP3A1 plus D76 cost me that sum from USA, import taxes and shipment to France included, in August 2022... Here's a view of the D76 at arrival :

For sure, the shipping and taxes rates between our two countries have changed since, and will certainly deteriorate further !
