The tapped subs play down to 20Hz pretty much flat.
I cross them at 100Hz. There are 2😀
I have measured music playing - Church organ
It's a quiet track and the deep pipes are a fair way in.
It shows plenty of SPL at 18Hz. You feel it rather than hear it.
They modelled in Hornresp at 105dB/W.
I've never tried to take them very loud.
Eminence Kappa Pro LFII drivers 650w.
I use a Cerwin Vega 400wpc (I think it is) amp.
They are thunderous if you want.
the second link IS a ribbon, but Fountek is gone and all that’s out there is new old stock. Apparently GRS speakers bought the design/distribution for the Fountek ribbons and maybe even the B&G stuff. They appear to be exact reproductions but I haven’t heard any real world talk on performance from the street
This is not perfectly correct. I received an email from Madisound advising me that have just received new stock of Fountek tweeters. Email was 23rd Jan 2024.
Also I have a contact at Fountek with whom I've had correspondence, as recently as Feb 2024.
Fountek seem to be alive and well.

I've been recently playing with the Fountek Neo CD3.5H, designing a waveguide derived from ATH4 OSSE (at least horizontally) for a project. See below. - A couple of points though: the measurements are in 8 degree steps not 10 as shown (because I screwed up the dividing plate setting when machining the jig for setting the polars - I was aiming for 5 degrees!), and ignore the scaling.
As you can see from the photo I removed the protection grill so I could get the waveguide to start as far back as possible to where the metal part ends (I saw this done by Patrick Bateman on this forum some years back and decided it might be a good idea). The first set is the standard diaphram and horn horizontal polars that I did a couple of years ago for my previous project, (they didnt integrate too well with it and so didnt work out and later sold on), the other two sets are from a pair purchased more recently but with a replacement 11 micron aluminium diaphram. I also have one still with the yellow sandwich diaphram that I havent got round to testing yet - maybe in the next week or so. I'm going to use them above 8kHz.
