Well done! Uladzimir Merzlou!
Can you post or send the PCB design files to order PCBs in pcbway etc???
Because I'm thinking about such a modification of my Aria 948.

my email [REDACTED diyAudio Moderation], and how do the columns sound after this modification? Have you made any other changes, etc

after upgrade the sound is big, broke away from the acoustics, separate instruments, clear middle and upper frequencies, accurate and elastic bass. EXCELLENT!
Thanks for the diagrams, and you did some additional soundproofing inside the column, you additionally glued them with mats (such as in car audio, etc.)inside
Hello @Uladzimir Merzlou,
This is really great work. Have been searching for schematics for the Aria 948 crossover for a while recently. No data for the coils. Gave up on it, and tried it again last week. Stumbled on your post here. I'm in electronics development and manufacturing for over 30 years now, and I must say its very nice to find the kind of detailed engineering and craftmanship that I recognise in your upgrade design. You already helped me a lot with the detailed BOM that you posted here. Also the board layout is nicely done. I could use my PCB layout software and produce a copy of your layout for instance. But that is quite a tedious task. Maybe you allow me to use your production data (gerber or ODB) to order a set of this PCB's myself? Can you please contact me (i'm new here; can't contact you) for a chat about this? Thank you!, kind regards.

Since you live 'next door', would you consider having an extra set of boards made, if Mr. Merzlou agrees ?Hello @Uladzimir Merzlou,

Of course, please get well soon!
Will contact you in a while. (... will ask you to contact me, because i'm new here and can't contact you ... ).
Have a nice day.

This is a somewhat old thread, but can anyone help with crossover schematics for Aria 936. I want to upgrade the crossover but I am struggling with finding the right components for it. Also, a picture of the crossover would help before I open up mine.

OK, managed to find a schematic, maybe its the right one (attached). Question: there are some huge capacitors there - 150 and 120 mikroF, says electrolytic. Should I try replacing these with foil capacitors in series(as I do not find such huge caps) with quality ones (costs will be considerable)? Otherwise replacing them with 4-5 EUR electrolytics does not seem to make sense. Could anyone recommend a way forward here?

Hi @Alra
Look for Axon, which I think has affordable, large film caps that are ideal for this application. However, the 150uF goes to ground, and that's a little tricky. 30% chance you'll run into an impedance issue without taking the ESR into account. Ideally you should measure the ESR and compensate for any missing when you replace the cap with film. Generally good practice for any part going to ground.
Really, good practice for all parts, as changes in ESR/DCR will affect crossover response, but those in parallel with the drivers can have disproportionately large and unexpected effects on the final speaker impedance.
Not sure if I commented on this before, but for Focals I do find the Mundorf MKP to be cheap, small and much better than what Focal ships.
Also, generally, Focal is not averse to making unnecessarily low impedance speakers. I find it worthwhile to do a full electrical analysis before going too crazy with part replacements on this brand.
