As it states in the excel file Coulomb is performing the collections and delivery for your area.😀

Parts are going straight from Andy to couloumb so as long as they are both aware of the quantity's there will be no confusion.

Send Anthony an email and ask him if it's ok or not.😎

Ron, no worrys you assume correct.

Hi Guys

I can confirm the NA and Europe payments are received. Thanks also to Anthony for amending the spreadsheet to show any changed qty's etc for the NA buy, it would be a great help if others could do the same and get them to me, so we don't get any mistakes, I don't want anyone to miss out due to errors!

I can collate the info together and confirm it here, just to make sure.

Just the UK contingent to come now, thanks for all your help so far.

Andy.

Sorry for the delay I have been sent away with my day job and will be back at home to send Andy the UK funds by 1700 on the 14th . unfortunately I neglected to bring the file with me so I cannot send this remotely due to me not knowing how much money to send. :smash:

Andy I have the updated sheet at home for the UK and Europe I will send this on with the UK funds as soon as I return home

Thanks Mark

I'm waiting for the first batch of funds to clear to my bank account now, which according to Paypal could take 5 days.

Once I've confirmed the numbers of boards and the first batch of funds is in my account I'll place the order anyway, so the minor delay from the UK will not slow anything down.

Andy.

Andy this may seem like a no brainer, but the pricing you got for our group buy must be far better than your regular purchase price. Have you thought about piggy backing an order for your self with the group buy?

I imagine if you hold onto them for a little while you will have a market for them and you can sell them at your regular prices. No one can argue about your extra profit as a product is often priced at it's replacement cost.

Just a thought.

Regards

Anthony

I already had a smaller batch of boards on order, unfortunately, which were delivered a few weeks ago as I had outstanding orders!

Just a reminder for Philo

I need the op-amps you require fitting before the PCB delivery, in order not to hold up orders, obviously there's several weeks to play with at present, but these little things can easily get forgotten. They can be shipped direct to me, to save costs, I can provide my shipping address to the group buy organisers.

Alternatively I can arrange supply at cost, if that helps, it may be cheaper by the time you've shipped them to me. The current UK Farnell price for these is 3.16 ukp + vat ea. (3.71 ukp).

Let me know,

Andy.

Is ad8065 a better alternative to ad825 in this circuit?

It measures better in some parameters, but it sounded worse after long-term listening, to my ears and that of others who heard it, on analogue supplies. It was initially impressive, but ultimately I felt detrimental to real musical communication. It's a great chip, and I've used it in plenty of circuits with great results, but not here.

I did use it in preference though on a pre-regulator for a CD player clock, where it did sound better than an AD825.

Hi Andy,
I recently sent you an e-mail request for your boards since I missed the group buy but have received no answer.I also did the same quite some time ago with the same result.
Is there a problem with your e-mail or are you too busy to answer?

Protos,

You have a reply now, it has been very difficult for me to keep up with email, with the new baby around.

Anthony,

I think those caps will be too big, the caps I used are much smaller, either 5 or 7mm dia. on 2.5 or 3.5mm lead spacings.

Everyone else,

I placed the PCB order today for the group, I'm awaiting confirmation of delivery.

Andy.

Andy, how goes it with the new baby? Busy I'm sure 😉

Any word on when the group order will be ready? Itching to get started on some projects.

In the mean time, can you tell me what are the dimensions of the boards, so that I can start to lay out the chassis?

Cheers,
RonS

Delivery

Tired....need....sleep 😉

Actually I'm not too bad, Matthew is well-behaved, and seems to understand the concept of night time 🙂

As stated previously, delivery to me is 15 working days from reciept of order, the order was placed 16/04, so they should be with me by the weekend or early next week.

I will then do a sample inspection to make sure that they look OK, and get them packaged up with the caps, ready to distribute to the regional distributors. When this happens depends a little on when they arrive, as time is inherently limited weekdays, but I will do my best to process it as soon as possible upon arrival.

The board dimensions are approximately 70x35mm, I'll do a better drawing to post here, as soon as I get chance.

Andy.
