Thinking of using a large toroid (isolation type with identical primary and secondary windings) in series with the power line in a seperate box (maybe with some caps etc for a simple pi filter).
What sort of inductance and series resistance would I be looking at for a toroid that can handle say 8-10amps?
Any rough ideas would be good cheers all.

Hi; Does anyone know how the "richard gray" products achieve such good results, This is based on reviews. I believe it was jam that said they are simply an 8 h inductor across the line. Any other takes on this.
Thanks
Thanks
You folks are really ignorant of audio tweaks. We have been using large value caps across the line (10uF) for many years. It works. Think it through. The example is compromised, because the lead length to the cap is too long and will add inductance to the parallel path. NOT GOOD! However, live and learn. ;-)
And I thought that caps across the Live and Neutral was oly for power factor correction....go get thos lighting caps...they have a resistor soldered within for safety and come with a mounting stud...shouldn't be too difficult to incorparate into ur existing equipment...
