I send also my thoughts to Andrew's family. We have had some contact with each other but this was years ago.
With diligence Andrew never failed to validly point out technical shortcomings, be it in designs (star ground!) or solderwork (loop area!). He was a voice of reason, acting on evidence and logic. I have learned many a thing from his observations.
He will be missed. My deepest condolences.
