I really splurged and bought a dozen Criterion Collection films -- 2/3's French, 1/6 Italian and 1/6th Swedish. Wife and her sister won't allow me the "clicker" so I will have to burn my own in the man-cave.
Qty 2: 30 VA rcore transformers with two 0-18 V secondaries each for the Salas Folded simplistic phono section.\
Also, AT6101 OCC copper headshell leads. My old leads broke. These were cheap.

Oh wow! What I could do in there!
That's an amazing space, the find of a lifetime.
Yeah. Most Australian houses are tiny. The trend for "open plan" kitchens also means that there is really no place to properly set up a listening room.
I kept seeing these European hifi rooms with big expansive spaces with horns in front of brick walls and thinking, "That's exactly what I need." Then I found it. This building has at least three suitable spaces, including a formal loungeroom and living/dining room.

2001 Porsche 911, with IMS problem fixed. Not the coupe that I wanted, but a cabriolet with the optional hard top included.
Trying to build a Daphile “appliance” so I just bought a DVD ROM WH16NS40. The Daphile SW doesn’t like my Pioneer. Eventually will integrate the whole thing into a Pesante chassis.
a pair of Dayton UM10s and some cheap tweeters/Lpads for my FH3/W5-1611 experiments
want to play with rear firing tweets for A M B I E N C E ...also the W5's don't play very high and need help up top

Inlaws had a dead Ryobi 10 inch BT3000 table say.
Bought a replacement bearing on the armature and should have it working later today.
Hoping to get some green honey locust from a tree cutter and build some horns.

Hi daqvin,

That sounds like a great project, and ambitious!Hoping to get some green honey locust from a tree cutter and build some horns.

Hi tubesguy,
Excellent!
I'd hate to ask what the insurance is like on it.

Thanks, guys. This is my "I have a lease expiring, I'm 70 years old, I've never had a Porsche but always wanted one, and there's a virus going round that might prevent me from reaching 71" car. This is a starter Porsche, and one that became available close enough to me to make the transaction doable.
Insurance is really not bad, but I'm firmly in the fewer than 10k miles per year category and a clean (for now) driving record.
With any luck, I'll still be around three years from now to complain bitterly about the costs of ownership. - Pat
@haiqu, very nice! Not sure if you are into fossicking but you are in the center of sapphire country there! 🙂

Hey Pat, better late than never! I rode around in a 924 Turbo for nine years and still miss it. Thinking of getting a Boxster if they ever come down from the stratospheric prices they're asking for the darned things in Australia. Otherwise maybe an Audi TT would be nice.

Mostly lots of granite. 😉
OK, what did I buy today? I took a chance on a McChanson.
SET KT88 12 watts per channel at AU$475.00 shipped.
I recently bought some 807's to build a valve amp but at this price it seems a lot less work.

Hi Pat,
Okay, you have 10 years on me. Go for it and enjoy!!!! I'm glad you got your dream car, or at least you're on the road to it. Why not?
Hey Rob,
Nice! The chassis is large enough for a change, and the finish looks great! You could have easily spent more I can see. The disconnected wire has more of a story behind it I bet, but nothing you can't fix. It might need a new selector switch worst case. Looks like a nice, easy project. The spare outputs are better than the ones that are in it BTW.
