New DeLonghi espresso maker. The previous one (also DeLonghi) has served every day for the last 13 yrs ( But I fixed it 3 times).
Paul,
CT stores are franchises so there are store-to-store differences. The CT store the wife works at would likely toss the failed ones — i know she just picked up something cheap because it didn’t seem to go together right, turns out there was just a trick.
Bought a cheap 55” 4k tv dirt cheap at yestrdays Red Thursday… then an additional discount because she works there. Just in time for the Grey Cup.

It's definately buyer beware with powertools at CT. I have bought or been gifted 4 power tools that are flat out useless from CT. A plunge router, a band saw, an electric brad nailer, and a lighter socket impact wrench. I rarely buy tools there anymore, I just buy them at Princess Auto. But I still buy most car parts and liquids there.
Only Black Friday thing I have bought today is a diamond bracelet for our 10th anniversary. I'm hoping Cyber Monday is a little better.

I know they are franchises.
I am fairly shore CT owns the Simoniz brand and I know of a third that blew the handle so nobody will convince me they didn't know of the problem. Selling at a deep discount out of season with a 90 day return policy is nothing but dumping junk on unsuspecting customers or should I say ex customers. This is not the only time I left this store unsatisfied.

I needed 64 screws M3x10 and 64 spacers M3 x 3mm. Prefereable the screw heads had to be pretty thin and someone in a Swedish forum suggested a company in Stockholm supplying such screws. This guy offered to visit the company and purchase a pack of screws and spacers (100pcs + 200pcs) as the company didn't send to private persons.
However, I got the bill just - $100 for 100 screws.
The screws have to be VERY good ....

Mine lasted 9 years of constant use before the water pump failed.
It was cheaper to buy a new machine .. which I did!

Actually one of those 3 fixes I did was a new pump. It was cheaper than a new machine...
Also recently bought PCBs for LT3045
A new winter jacket to replace my 40+ year old North Face down filled jacket.
It leaves a trail of goos down wherever I go.

Set out on a road trip last weekend for Florida to spend Thanksgiving with my brothers and their families for the first time in 5 years. Sherri and stopped at Universal Studios for two and a half days of acting like kids, then.....
Thursday was Thanksgiving Day in the US. It is traditionally a day to spend with your family stuffing your face with too much food. It seems lately to have turned into a day of a feeding frenzy at the local shopping malls too. Sherri and her friends went shopping, so I met Stan at ESRC to spend a couple of hours before leaving with about 120 tubes, all slated for audio output duty. Then I drove 70 miles west to my brother's house.
Friday is a crazy shopping day known as black Friday where the malls turn into utter chaos. I decided to visit another Orlando attraction known as Skycraft Surplus where I got several pre cut aluminum plates suitable for amplifier chassis and a large box of parts. Finally I joined the women at the mall where it took me 3 hours to find a book on Python, the programming language.
I am currently in a hotel on the way back home.

2x Beyerdynamic MC930 and a stereo mic bar.
Got a concert coming up with a 100-strong choir, and they want it recording. Realised I didn't have anything really suitable for such things, so picked those up, with an eye to move more into recording classical music.

Bit late because it was yesterday, but a set of four 195/55/R15 Bridgestone adrenaline RE003's for my car, and a wheel alignment. Got the buy three get the fourth one free deal, so worked out at $123 per corner.
Hopefully the wheel alignment will solve the outside wear issue!
Tony.

A couple sets of small transistor replacement kits for my hafler driver boards; are now in worse shape after I have worked on it.
Also a pizza, but that had a better outcome.

Dynavector Karat 17D3. I had about 3 hrs. on this and left the room where the deck sits. We have 2 suspicious cats. The Dynavector needs a re-tip. I should have known better.
I have a made essentially a moat around my turntable for this very reason.

How was Skycraft?
Sometimes I do business in Orlando and have been meaning to check that place out.
What is ESRC?
Not many cool surplus spots left in our neck of the woods.
Have any photos of your score?
