Whinge, whine, grip, never got to make a valve amplifier at school when I were a lad. (Made an unofficial pick-up arm in metalwork, though.)
Excellent stuff. Perhaps they'll realise that you don't have to believe mass-market advertising and that they can make things themselves.

Conclusions:
Important points (for the amplifier) we have learned:
1) Two-stage
2) Direct coupled
3) Inductive power supply
4) Good anodic choke for the first stage and good output amplifier.
Important points (for the speakers) we have learned:
1) Open baffle (...the best system).
2) ... but associated with an active sub (better if a dipole one).
3) No (lateral) panels at 90°.

Fantastic, outrageous....!!!!!
really a beatiful amp!!
I really like the 'probe'-connectors...something i will surely use in my next amp, one keeps turning her upside down which does not fit a lady 🙂
How did you get the children's interest, how did you get them to understand?!?!?!?
It must have been so enjoyful!!
This is almost an extrapolation of the 40's and 50's when dad would build an amplifier with his children by the kitchen table.
my little brothers (11,15) are only intersted in mp3....
with the best regards,
Kathodyne

After seeing this I had a talk with the wife about having kids, maybe it is not that bad at all. But for the short run I am thinking of giving free carpenter lessons at the school next door - this way I could possibly complete my projects 😀
Hi Antonio e los bambinos, really no offense intended! I appreciate the initiative and the end result very much!
