Rewinding the Transformer

Good afternoon friend!

1 - The primary is just a 26 or 24 AWG wire. Winds 20 turns, then wind the secondary and finally wrap the other 20 turns on the secondary.

Hello Sir Renato,

Thanks for the reply.

So this would mean that I'll be rewinding the wires in layers?

If that's the case, the first layer/primary winding would be the first 20 turns. Layer it with an insulator then wind the secondary (2x10 Center Tapped). Add another insulator and continue to wind the primary on top of the finished secondary winding of another 20 turns.

Many Thanks! 🙂

Regards,
Neil

Exactly! It's just that way it should be done ...

Greetings!

Thanks to his brother Renato, the help topic in here .... and friends that want to build this project can only say one thing .. will be surprised with the results because both the amp and the power supply are really excellent, follow the Renato instructions and everything happened as well!

Hugs!

hi brothers🙂
in video, i ses two cap under the transformer but they're not in pcb. what is that? 😀
can i use zener 16v and irf840?
is the soft start (13007) work good?
sorry for my questions, cuase i burn 2 ir2153 and 4 mosfets
i don't want repeat this again
the shematic or explosion machine 😀 : Simple non-regulated supply 2x 35V 350W for audio amplifier

Good day brother !

In the video is modified version of the font that I made for my use , these capacitors you see are another line voltage to power coolers and other peripherals , for that reason they are not on the PCB I posted just above , which is more simpliicado but easiest to do. If you prefer I can post this to another version , but there are more secondary , then the transformer is more complex and requires some practice so that the coils fit ...

As for your questions , you have to use a zener below 15.6 volts which is the voltage of the inner court of the IR2153 . You can use a 14V zener in the absence of 15 .

The combination of the zener at 13007 and the 100R resistor is only a protection against overheating of the IR . But if you want you can even leave without these 3 components and make a jumper on the board between the pads of collector and emitter of the 13007 , it is safer to maintain .

The support IRF840 8A , while IR740 supports 10A , then you can use it as long as the load is not exceeded . In testing, I've used the 840 and have not had any problems , both have roughly the same income .

Regards...

thank you alot for reply🙂
i'm waiting for new version🙂

I generated the PFDs from lay that I had prepared, then follows:

https://mega.co.nz/#!jMIiVS6Q!hYOZ7OQrqo--og7JRaUy4S0NX009PpskVl5QIzd07N4

In this version, the secondary for 12V has to deliver between 15 and 18V to be regulated by 78XX. So, I suggest 4 to 5 turns, as each turn delivers about 3.7 V in this circuit, and that goes for the main secondary winding also, if they prefer to change it according to the need of use, not forgetting that we can not overcome the limit working voltage electrolytic filter capacitors.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Renato, I have been looking for a simple discrete amplifier (simplicity should lead to less distortion), and your circuit looks very appealing (even though I am not an expert in circuit analysis). I especially liked the simplicity of your SMPS! Thanks for posting this project.
