Hello everybody!
I started to build my first active speakers.
The elements I going to use:
Scanspeak 6600
Audio technology 18h
Scanspeak 8531
Crossover: behringer dcx2496
I have two options for 6 channels amplifier:
Rotel rmb 1066 or mcintosh mc 440 witch is a car amplifier and nead external power supply .
What do you think ? Rotel or McIntosh?
Thank you

Rmb1066 is interesting because you can run it is on 6 channel mode and if you want extra umph later you can bridge the channels but only for 8 ohm drivers.
I would consider some of the older Rotel RB models, 870bx for instance, that can be used in stere but bridged for 4 ohms later. But read up on these amps as they do differ in sound. I have two rb850’s bridged and they sound great, if I was going for a three way I would seriously consider adding two more, using the bridged ones on the bass and stereo on the mid and highs.

I thought about adding extra amp but my wife told me "don't redecorate my living room". 4 boxes will be to match for her....
The McIntosh can be bridge also..
Have you herded the McIntosh?
