Its a Topping TP-60 and I don't have the schematic but here is a internal shot.... I might have a larger image if this isn't sufficient

The issue I am having is I could play the amp for hours or days and once in a while, the audio fades slowly from the left to the right. Then when I turn up the volume, it comes back to normal. I sometimes have to move the knob more than a tiny bit to get the audio to come back but it will come back.

I like this amp because it fits on my desk and works well with my PC so I would like to fix it myself since Topping wanted me to ship it back to China and hope they can figure out the issue (Out of warranty). Well with dual toroidal transformers, that's not going to happen. I have limited tools to diagnose it but am comfortable digging in to fix it as well as friends that do circuit design and building so they can assist if needed with any part replacement.

I tried to contact a audio repair place but it seems they only deal with high end audio and wont even talk to me. So here I am hoping to shed some light on what's going on and what I can do to get this working 100% instead of 98.75% LOL

As a long-time service tech, and knowing my colleagues in the business, it's safe to say that none of us ever wanted to deal with that chinese stuff.
Our reply to the customer is usually "you get what you paid for, sorry."

There are some openings on the side for each of the two sections.

Do ALPS Pots have lube in them?? I thought about that but wanted to wait and see what diagnosis I get. I wanted to avoid if there was any lube in it.

BTW, Its a ALPS pot, but is there any advantage to upgrading it to a higher quality pot?

I've had very good luck with inexpensive Alps volume pots. They track very nicely.
However, any non-sealed pot can get dirt inside easily, not to mention crud from smoking.

Try cleaning it using only a very small amount of spray cleaner, and exercise the knob through
its full rotation. If there's still a problem, do it again. Good cleaners like deoxit also lubricate.

Yeah its not in a smoker household... My desk does get dusty but not sure if any got into the amp... Its so intermittent that its going to take a long time to know if the issues gone,

There are a few types of Deoxit. Which would you recommend? I will order some this week
