Amp troubleshooting

I might ask Topping but they take forever to respond.
Frankly, it is unlikely that you could buy an exact replacement because of all the options:
resistance value, shaft length, flat or serrated, and that's just for one series of dual volume control.
There are just too many variations for a distributor to stock them. Only a mfr can order enough
parts at a time for Alps to make up a production run with one exact configuration.
In other words, unless Topping will ship one to you, it isn't likely that you will find one.

Rather, check what your preferred distributor stocks, and see if it will work. If it's a different
mfr, make sure to check the footprint, bushing diameter, shaft length, etc. There's no
guarantee that another company parallels Alp's product line mechanical specs.

But I would definitely try cleaning the existing pot first. Make sure you get both decks clean
(front and back).

Well if Topping is willing to tell me specs, I'm sure I can find one. I haven't cracked the amp open yet due to wanting to see what Topping would tell me but I'm not shipping it back to them. Also I use it daily as it's my near field amp and I work from home. The pot does have a number on it in the pic so once I crack it open I should be able to cross reference it.
