ok guys thanks for the insights. now i need to figure out the colume control. does it have volume in digital domain?
volume
what is the best way to implement it?
does this work?
1.3"OLED and rotary encoder volume control PCB - DIYINHK

DIYINHK's volume control pcb is only compatible with his boards.
To control volume on the Soekris, you may either use a potentiometer (see the dam1021 manual for instructions) or a microcontroller to do more advanced stuff like have a screen and an IR remote, etc.
There also exists a library for control through an RPi.

so using the salas ultra bib was a total failure. apparently i just cant assemble those boards so after months, im still getting nowhere. i need something cheap and ready made or easy to assemble to power the DAC. im so confused. i searched bipolar power supply and i just found some Chinese diy board on ebay. what is a good dependable and cheap solution to power the dac? i have a transformer that gives 15 ac thati can use. if sopmeone can help out with this id appreciate it.
ok this:
Low Current Bipolar Power Supply (LCBPS) - A Regulated CRC Supply
or this:
Tr-PS-3
which one is better for this application?
