Greets!
Cool, then those should in theory work better than 515s overall since they shouldn't be as rolled off down low.

OK all you Altec, JBL and Tannoy fans.
Here is a cool site in Japan.
http://www.utopianet.co.jp/product/enclosure.html
(Tannoy buddy of mine from London sent it.)
They build these things! So you can have a new vintage cab for your living room. But you've got to have deep pockets and a sturdy wallet. The Yen is down, but these are still very expensive. Prices are just for the box, 1 each.
Google does an OK job of translating this site.
You might also want to look at their ready made stuff:

The "Theater King" line is cool.

Koooll,
I like the Theater King Super Live Speaker System. That's a small TV between the speakers.
edit: They look like the system Cal put together when the site was down, and offered to punkrocker. The Japanese are still copying!

Didn't notice first time round that you removed one of the 210 boxes and slid a wing over. Good work Geoff.
Yeah Cal. Remember the "measure 3 times, cut once" rule? I goofed up. The front door aint big enuff! Have to build a new roof before it rains. Then I'll finish off the other cabs.
Nah, the image is as I found it over at Lansing Heritage. Just reduced the pixel count.

Cal, here you go. Just what your new system needs.

ummmmm no!
The brand name was sold on in the 90's, it is simply rebadged made in china stuff. This type of noise maker has nothing to do James B Lansing of JBL and Altec Lansing, it is his involvement in products that this thread is dedicated to.
In 2003 Altec professional was reborn, and the classic Iconic speakers of the era are now made by Great Plains Audio on the original machines by former Altec staff.
