Were the original diodes shorted?
What happened to the cap between the two large mylar caps (C903/4)? In the original photo, it was OK. Now it's vented.

I remember this happening before and the problem may have been near the terminal for the open secondary winding.

SD902 was shorted when the amp came in .
I powered the amp up again and the cap vented I will replace it .

I think you can just pull one. If you find a simple problem at the terminal, you'll have to pull the other.
If there is no simple problem, the new 18g windings should be OK on one transformer.

Is the small winding on the far right broken close to the terminal? Pull on it to see if it pulls out of the insulation.
On the transformer where I can see the winding broken do I cut away some of the wrap and see if I can make a new connection there ?

You can try to get to the part where it broke/opened. Be careful not to damage the other windings. Hopefully, this will be the last winding laid down.

I'd reinstall this transformer to see if the amp has any other problems. I think it should work at a basic level with only one transformer.
Before reinstalling it, test to see what other windings read 0 ohms to that terminal.

With the one transformer repaired the amp is working again .
Should I do anything with the other transformer or let the owner know of what is going on with the amp ?

I assume that the failure was due to the shorted diode. I do not know if one transformer and one pair of diodes can take the load.
