Hello from a newbye.
I want to try with the F5.
Is it possible to buy a power supply without building it?
Which type? Switching?
Which are the characteristics?
TIA, Danilo

I bought a pair of these with a view to doing an F4... Tested ok, and as yet I've not tried them out!

Hello! I'm a newby in electronics...
F5's PSU need these three output (maybe also F4): +25 GND -25.
Is your PSU compliant?
Best regards, Danilo

Maybe try this. Its a bit cheaper than a pair of the above too.
Leave some space in the case for an eventual change of heart on a linear supply too.

And yes, this supply should be fine.
I should emphasise though that if you're a complete beginner, starting with an amp camp amp is a much better way to get a toe in the water. 🙂

Sorry for this newbye question: F5 needs +-24 and gnd, but PSU gives +-24... where I can take the ground?

You will need two of the usual single output switching power supplies to make a +/– dual rail supply. Take a look at a recent post (#2375) by tubesguy in "The diyAudio First Watt M2x" thread. This is a more advanced technique, because it will require some power supply filtration after the SMPS units, and careful wiring to get the +/– voltges. It may be easier to simply build a linear supply with a power transformer, bridge rectifiers and a couple banks of capacitors. These are well documented in the various First Watt build threads.
