polarity is correct during measurement. Indeed 4A thru 1 bad cap should be the recipy for some serious fireworks (no vent in caps :xeye: ).

Since my dayjob is rather demanding at the moment it will take me some time to rebuild de psu, luckely the A5 was driven thru a sugden intergrated amp with pre-out it's got so I'm not completely ampless at the moment, although the sound is rather flimsy compared to the Aleph

So I rebuild the PSU and there's nothing wrong.

With no resistance to it I get a nice 6A on both side pos/neg.. Voltage is ok to. So that started me wondering.

What would happen if 1 of the connections of the bridges was a bad solder....?

So now it's only rebuilding the complete amp in the case again :cannotbe: . Which I now will make a bit more servicable while I'm at it.
