is there any diference in sound or just in power?
thanks

janey...very subjective question....it depends on the listener, at 100W/p ch mono ...I would go for the Aleph2.... I wonder what are the readers vote?
I'm not in a position to tell you which of the Alephs sound better; no Pass dealers within reasonable distance, and having only built the 2 (although I've got a 30 watter on my schedule for a self-amped speaker project later), but I can say that the 2 is nipping at the heels of my Katie-bar-the-door tube amp in all areas. The tube amp wins by a nose on detail retrieval and soundstage, but the 2 cost about a quarter of what it cost to build my tube amps. (I cheated on heatsinks, but that's another story.)

hello
can aleph60 operate on 30 v dc per rail.
is there any mistakes on the aleph60 plans and what about
R1 and R8.
wich devices are good for the output.
thanks

Using 30V rails will have you end up with the less the rated power.
Below is what Nelson replied from a previous thread....
R1 is used to trim Power Supply Rejection
R8 is used to trim DC Offset

Can I skip R1 & R8 as none of the Aleph 1-5 has the trimmer? Does it affect the sound in anyway? Thank you for your help.
I now the aleph 3 and the aleph 30, the 30 sound very much better it has much more controll in the bass and its cleaner in the midrange. But it might depend on the needs of your speakers.
A few more questions regarding Aleph60:
1. What are the values for R19 & R21?
2. Aleph 60 Service Manual stated "R21 and C10 adjust the current against output current as sensed by the voltage across R40." Should it be C19?
3. What are the benefits for R1 and R8 as they don't appear in the original Aleph layout?
Thanks for all of your help.

Aleph 60
1. R19 56.2K ohms R21 1.5K ohms
2. Yes C19 220uF
3. Skip R1 & R8 unless you know how to measure PSRR. Offset can be tweaked by adjusting value of R11 if needed. Good matching of Q1 and Q2 should help on offset without changing resistor values. I think under 50mV of DC offset at the output after warmup is fine.
