1) that the input transistors are JFET's (which would definitely require cascoding in a higher output version),

2) or does the "J" honor Ms. Pass who is the real owner of the kitchen table upon which these new creations are built?

It could also be the name of one of my favored "sparkling
wines".

It must be specail

I think it must have some tricks found in either the XA series or something from the F1/F2. If enough info can be gleaned on what is up here I will try to "kludge" the circuit myself.
Have an unused set of Mini A boards from KK in the closet. This might make a good starting point. Somehow I think it is still a single ended devise and an active current source.
