I hope I will be not disappointed with . . .
Mmm . . .
This month: chassis and pcb design
December: collection of good components
Jan-Mar 2008: construction and finish . . .

you know that your address is enough , if you need anything

Ok, I need about ... 4 Aleph J PCBs ... and all building parts (incl. trafos - of course!)Zen Mod said:

Cheers (incl. my respect to you!),
Thanks, Choky! I know you will help.
Of course, I have to find few 2SJ109.
First, from my deep pocket . . .
I might send you . . . SOS . . . SOS . . .

You are not reading the thread !!!
He just told you 15 post ago to use matched 2SJ74s instead.....
🙂

Papa - R27 intentionally placed B-C on Q4 ?
Yes. Remove it and you will have more bias current, which is
probably what you want.

Something tells me that we should leave that resistor alone?
Mr. Pass,
Is your reason for not referencing R5 to Ground (as in early Alephs) is your concern that noise from the input stage CCS zener getting to the Input through Ground?

I'm not exactly Santa but.........
better CMRR
hehe , just be sure that you use 1W res for R5

Hahahahahaaaaa....
No noise gets into the input through a good ground.
The decision to run it to the - rail was purely arbitrary.
😎
OK, that means no corrections to be made on my Aleph circuit board to adapt it to a J version...Thanks!
Yes, it seems easy to modify the original Aleph circuit but I can't find 2sj109bl.
Where do you buy your 2sj109bl?

Must be fun to do things arbitrarily, knowing to get away with it.
(the repeated schematic twists are becoming slightly suspicious, Santanic)

Don't laugh, Papa.
Good ground means good, no, clean ground. So, how the clean ground could introduce the noise to the input . . . Thanks for the confirmation.
By the way, when the current gain from the Aleph CCS is going up, I get some noise. How could I explain this?

PS
Jacco, I don't remember where is your ring number. As soon as I get it, I ring you loudly. Thanks.

bomb him, buzzzzz him , ring him , email him........whatever
That's an error in the schematic. The performance difference is a lower damping factor, but not by much.
Can Nelson's Schematic be used as is or is the feedback incorrect?
Thanks,
Vince
