To Quertyl: This was discussed elsewhere. In an Aleph J you need to have a separate full bridge rectifier for the positive rail coming from one pair of 18 VAC outputs and a separate full bridge for the negative rail from the second pair of 18 VAC outputs. The positive rail does have more load than the negative in an Aleph J. If you have a center tap, then you need to change something.
Yes, I have separate bridges for positive and negative rails, basically standard FirstWatt power supply, the same for F4 and Aleph J.
The following picture shows the cap for positions C6 & C7, as you see the cap is physically too big. I followed the BOM and this is what I ordered, obviously the wrong part for this application. (505-MKP4.1/250/5P10, Mouser p/n)
will you please let me know the proper component I need to order?
Thanks in advance!

I was the one who completed the first prototype build and this is the bypass capacitor I used:
MKP2D031001F00JSSD WIMA | Mouser
Lead spacing is 5mm and you can measure the holes' distance on the board to confirm that the part fits properly.
ZM's solution is also good and obviously cheaper. 🙂

if the value fits then bend the leads to make it fit into the holes.
I would do and have done it this way

Is the 4U Jack of all chassis enough heatsinking for the Aleph or do I really need the 5U deluxe chassis?
Gearing up for this build very soon. 🙂

Nice one sharpi. I'm still enjoying listening to mine.
D you have a link to the case you used?

Nicely done. Am looking forward to mine. Case is in transit.
Is everyone using soft start/speaker protection boards with the Aleph?
