Thank you Henry and Luvdunhill. Didnt see the schematic. In that case, I would go for FM, simpli because of specs. I dont think you will be heaing that cap and so you want best possible parameters. The FM beats other suggestions from a numbers standpoint. C5 is where I would use Elna RFS, as well as ACS.
This was from a 10 year old post. Not sure if he still uses.I know it's expensive, but we use PCAD for both schematics
and PC layout.
Personally I used FC and FM for my KSA50 clone, but I am not so familiar with the Aleph J so I erred on the side of reputation as you may say. But I will add FMs where possible also. I will see if I can do a proper schematic also based on that used by Didiet for the PCB layout. As I said, this is my first contribution and learned much. I hope in future to do some layouts also.
Where you been. You must tangled in some web in babydiy
up to nose ( and more ) in dying transmitting gear
even backup of backup died
damn politicians , all because of their negligence
I'm like cavalry , they called me just when all cowboys and indian are already dying
now - backup's backup backup is working
I can't directly or officially address price, but I can make an educated guess -- as the PCB is about the size of the F4 PCB in the DIYaudio store, I would imaging the price being similar.
BTW, while I am waiting for this board to become available, I have been getting my PSU together. I am planning to use the BrianGT PSU boards I already have. The one with positions for 6 caps (black and gold). I am thinking of using these rectifier diodes: http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/IS/ISL9R3060G2.pdf
Will these be OK in place of the MUR1560 suggested originally.
