Aleph 30 diy - total beginner

Hi, I'm Andrea and I'm a new forumer!
First of all sorry for my english!!!
I'm a total beginner but I would try to build an Aleph30.
I think that i use a Chipamp's PCB.
The first problem that I have is the kind of toroidal transformer.
Could 600VA power be enough? Or 800Va should be better?
And for secondary tension?
Thank you!

though , nowadays is better to choose either Aleph J from Diyaudio Store , or my Babelfish J

(shameless advertising :devilr: )

I second that motion!

I built an Aleph 30 from those very boards. The Aleph J is a better and newer Aleph model with tons more support on this forum. I am not that familiar with Zen Mod's Babelfish J through ignorance, but I am sure he will support you throughout your build if you decide on it.

Yes, the J is a good idea. There are a building guide too!
I prefere 30 for the power and damping factor. I would like build the 5 but for my inexperience it is too expensive!

Rather than clone product you will get far better results by optimising the design for your speaker load. You can do it with Zen Mod's Bablefish J or by adding an extra pair of output mosfets to Aleph J.

All it would take is to do 3 pairs at output to change the game completely.

I can do the sims though to see what the best setup would be for 4 Ohms.

I know what's written on FW papers
