Should the jumper go across J4?I just reread the datasheet and what I would do is remove the small two-pin connector (the auto-on/off one) and short the two pins together on the ICEpower module. That should ensure that it starts up fully-powered on (assuming it does start up of course
Do I leave all other cables connected?
I have to wait until diode can be sourced.
Hi,
Thank you for followimg thu’ with me…
Unfortunately, not. I had to leave London as I had to return to Australia and get back to work as my holiday in London had come to an end. So I left the sub with my son-in law.
I did not have the necessary tools to work safely so put the project on hold.
My son-in-law and my daughter will be visiting us in Australia at the end of the year, and I am hoping he brings the plate amp with him as I have the tools for the job.
The connector to the main board was heat damaged so unless a replacement is available it will be difficult to work on or test the board.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Kimd regards.

As seen in the first picture in post 1 the diode D1 may in fact be defective.
You can check this in circuit. It may be a zener diode.
Finally you should provide the correct name of this subwoofer to avoid frustration.

If you decide to not get in to hassle of fix it

Hi, apologies for the oversight. The sub is an Adam A8H.As seen in the first picture in post 1 the diode D1 may in fact be defective.

I doubt that A8H is a subwoofer. If the model is in current production, schematics will not be available.
Ok. I won’t argue.
This is the item I am sitting with on the workbench. (Refer to attachment).
The boards have Ice power and B&O markings on them.
Adam Audio, Germany technicians have confirmed it’s a Sub 8 and that schematics are not available. (which I am aware).
You obviously know something I don’t, as I am just a diy hobbyist trying to salvage what I think is a nice piece of audio equipment.
