Should a quick compare of the data sheets not answer that? How else could you know?
Edit: they are two different tubes, so never be 'fully compatibility'. You need to decide what the important parameters are for which you want compatibility.

They are 100% compatible, They do not sound the same. The GE has a higher voltage rating. I liked the GE more than the HB. I will not go into detail to avoid the endless chain of negative comments it would cause.

I think you need to review the meaning of '100% compatible'. Clearly, in some circuits one will work and the other will blow.

Hmm, I just happen to have a bunch of 6GE5. I think I'll try a straight swap. 🙂
But I thought it was the other way round, the GE having slightly lower rating? That's why I haven't attempted.

Hello, have a pair of 1+1's and was considering have the medallion interfaces rebuilt, who is currently doing that?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Not sure about rebuilding, but Roy Esposito, (former Acoustat employee from the Florida manufacturing days), mods the transformers.
Check with him here:

Roy Esposito Delivers!
Just a note to report my favorable experience with Roy Esposito in Delray Beach FL (acoustat.service.usa@gmail.com). I sent him my two ancient 2+2 interface units and he returned them in new condition after about a week, with a bagful of components he had replaced. Communications were friendly and helpful.

This is from 4-5 years ago, so I'm sure his prices have gone up. Here is the process anyway:
Thank you for your reply.
I accept interfaces to work on here, but only if they play at equal volume levels (with the preamp balance control straight up).... and with equal bass response. If not .....further considerations must be addressed prior to sending to me.
Below.....I have reprinted for you....the information for the MK121 "package".
It does not include conversion with Medallion Audio transformers.
That is very expensive and I very rarely offer it. Besides, in my opinion....
the sonic difference is relatively small (if any) as opposed to the high cost.

Acoustat wires.
Good morning.
I built acoustat type stators.
Does anyone have the model of thread used? even a photo might be enough, perhaps with the measurements of the external diameter and the area of the conductor.
Thank you all.

Anyone found a place to get new grill covers made yet?

I've got 1+1's in great shape but would like to get black covers. I've seen plenty of sources for the material but I have no sewing skills.
Thanks

I'm sure via Craigslist or the Angi app, you could find a local seamstress to sew these.
Shouldn't be too much.
Fortunately, my daughter-in-law has this ability, so she did my 2+2 covers to perfection.

I have the Monitor 4 and I don't like having the black grids, I would have preferred cream or so.

That's possible? Usually I only try to dye cotton and their material seems to be more of a polyester blend.
