Hi Acko,
I am interested in using this board in stereo mode. With installed opamps, what is the output mode—current or voltage? Also, since I already have my jFet discrete buffer boards, how hard would it be to remove that signal from the board and disable the opamps? I will be curious to hear it with the opamps, but would prefer the discrete jFet buffers.

Thanks!
There will be a stereo version also. I will preview that later. The outputs are voltage line levels after the I-V conversion by the OpAmps. You can add the Jfet or other buffers after that if desired. Unfortunately, you have to mod the board if substituting the OpAmps with buffers etc

Try out the standard build first and we can see later if other ways are better suited …

Thank you Acko, but let me check if I understand correctly. "There will be a stereo version also. I will preview that later." If this board is only multichannel, then I will wait for the stereo version. I am unclear if you are talking about the same board in this group buy or a different one that will come out later.

The engine is the same 8ch internally but can be configured for multichannel (as previewed earlier) or 2ch stereo or even mono. Actually can also be wired out from the core module direct to panel mounted connectors to suit - no additional boards needed. Others may prefer all wiring and connectors on board so there is quite a bit of flexibility here🙂

Nothing more to develop and I will preview a board arrangement specific to stereo version shortly …

Great! I'm following and supporting this project from the very first 9038 version and it's something special seeing it grow in quality and technology every month, discussing the best implementations and refining the project through open confrontation! Will be a quality reference in Multichannel DACs, for sure.
