What are current rates for 3.3 and 1.2 supplies required? If go with dedicated PSUs.

Pls Check data sheet for some details. More information when tested later… 1.2V type (DVDD) may need some peak handling capacity ~1/2A+

Actually, need to test some of the claims. The ones that I could remember:

1. Async mode with just a single clock is good enough. No need for all the complexities of Sync clocking, dedicated clock boards, etc

2. Forget DSD, especially those upsampled pcm->DSD. The HyperstreamIV modulators are game changers. So, no need for the likes of HQPlayer churning out on gas guzzling PCs or those pcm-dsd FPGA hardware.

3. Also, no need for all these FIFO reclockers or pre-processing

Absolutely simplified and yet better than anything else 😁

That would simplify things, but claims are hard to believe ..

HQPlayer developer, on another forum: " What I measured recently for example on ES9039Q2M based DAC, it performs the best at DSD256 from purely technical point of view. Similar to earlier with ES9038Q2M. So there is still some benefits of shorter path through. With PRO models it also largely depends on the chip configuration and how the analog stages are implemented, with Q2M it is more straightforward"

Of course he could be biased, as HQP is ultimate online upsampler/converter))
