I bought this sub and center speaker from a thrift shop the other day, Ive just gone to set it up and Ive come across this weird input plug on it? I tried to find an owners manual download but all I found was a picture of the same model with the input and output arranged the other way around? So to make sure of this Im uploading some photos to see if anyone knows whats what? I thought it was an optical plug at first but on a closer look I could see it wasnt.

I tried an RCA plug on both the input and the output, nothing happened on the output and a hum was the only result from plugging in the RCA to the input. The female input jack isnt missing anything, thats the way it is because I checked out another image of this model Accusound OM650. Unless the image I Googled had the same problem?

Because of "cheap" RCA connectors and for longevity purposes and because of possible damage I recommend rather than only pulling the plug just turn/rotate it additionally.
This will reduce the strain on the connector.
Also it doesn`t matter if you turn it clockwise or counterclockwise.
It should come off either way.

This is the only time Ive known this to happen to an RCA plug, well, mine and the same model subwoofer I Googled for comparison had the same problem? I think it mustve been just a bad batch from the factory because Accusound is a family owned Australian company who makes good gear, I couldnt imagine them scrimping to save a few cents on some RCA plug seconds? Anyway, Ive ordered those 10 RCA plugs and Ill just solder one in when they get here. Thanks again for the help fellas.😀
