You don't like pro drivers? Don't infer anything because you may have heard some badly crossed ones.
That Dayton woofer is the replacement woofer for the woofer I used in my 8" two-ways. The midrange is tamer and the peaks have been reduced 4-5 dB over mine. On paper it looks better than mine except for xmax (8mm vs 7 mm).
Be warned that it's not really 8" but closer to 9". In reality it's a metric size and is not a drop in replacement for an 8" woofer. Should be no problem for custom cabinets.
