A mobile is a bunch of parts that can only move around with respect to one another. And a work of art.
Hello Everyone,
After some delay in posting, I would like to inform those that are interested that, my tone arm is completely assembled and mechanically working but I am having problems with the electronic servo circuitry. I decided to temporarily quit working on it to regroup and work on my neglected turn table instead.
I have played LPs with my tone arm by manually correcting the position of the tone arm/cradle position relative to the floating head-shell and I can eliminate any mechanical problems from consideration. I am now suspecting either the design of the voice coil motor or possible shorts and or solder bridges on the PCB. The PCB is so crowded that, it is difficult to inspect. So, while I get my act together, I will work on my turn table.
As I and other people like to say: "If it was easy, everybody would be doing it"
Sincerely,
Ralf

Hello Rayma,
Thank you.
Is that the same Mobile that I used to hang above my son's crib when he was a baby?
Sincerely,
Ralf

Yup. If you want to see some really good ones, look at Calder's work. We even have some originals here in town.

Hello rayma,
The reason I didn't understand was that, I thought mobile was pronounced as if it were French with an accent mark above the e.
Sincerely,
Ralf
