A really nice new 4” Full Range from Faital Pro

That’s really nice performance at around 15 degrees off axis if you consider the above zero and 45 plots. A parallel pair of the 4” version with one being used with a .5 coil for BSC would be a nice compact speaker

I assume you mean the 4FE42? https://faitalpro.com/en/products/LF_Loudspeakers/product_details/index.php?id=401005105

Yea this driver looks really promising. I have the brother 4FE32 here in a bluetooth speaker, to be used above >300Hz - build is just finished, still have to measure and configure DSP, but just fullrange driven the little Faital 4" play surprisingly well and complete:

The 4FE42 seems to be designed even more exhausted.

Faital has also two new cheap and Hifi-capable 10" and 12", together with the 4" this may give nice value FAST speakers:

(or a nice value 3-way with additional 0,75" tweeter >3-3.5kHz, but we're in the fullrange subforum, well ;-) )

For the sake of argument to the point, yes……which is to say that a full range driver doesn’t exist as the best way of accomplishing the goal.

But for a 4” cone, clearly the response indicates nearly best possible outcome of relative smooth response out past 15k with not so poor off axis response for a 4” cone.
