A Modular Analogue Active Crossover Filter Solution

What I want/need is a good question, I am not sure, this why I like the modular approach.
At the beginning is a sat/sub system (passive sat, active sub) which I am running now with a Pass XO24-6 and at the end will be fully active three way, symmetric out could be nice. So, based on that I think I need:
(not sure if the modules are mono or 2-channel)
  • A couple of Sallen-Key modules to go up to LR4 (so 6 in total if the modules are 2-ch)
  • Input modules (3?)
  • Output modules (3?)
  • Baffle step compensation eventually (1)
  • I am also keen on the DIP-8 dual buffer PCB based on SK209 as I also have a OPamp based x-over which I like to try with discrete buffers. (Quite a few)

Well, it will help a lot if you already have a schematics for both speaker, satellite and subwoofer, even draft.

Each board is 2x SE, or 1x balanced. We always use balanced ourselves.
We certainly do not have all the boards you need. So need to reorder.
And if you have not decided how to cross, you might need extra boards as reserve.
We have an unpublished circuit for a variable-level BSC correction circuit by mean of a stereo pot.
Have to design a new board for that.
But you can equally just use a passive shelfing filter a la Linkwitz.

The JFET buffers are of course only unity gain.
So you will lose gain with BSE, etc.
You can recover that with op-amps instead, but need new opamp input boards with gain.
The JFET buffers are meant for driving load > 10k.
So will not fit existing crossovers with low impedances.

We won't order anything till you can decide what you want from us, to cover all your possible variants.

Cheers,
Patrick
