I'm new to DIY! Nice inspiration.. What is the power circuit here? Which rectifier tube?
Thanks!
Thanks!
My first tube preamp. Made from recycled components.
Looks lovely. Hope it sounds good as well. Hope I can audition it. Where are you located?
To Rajesh
Basically I am from Thrissur ,Kerala. Currently I live in Newbury, UK. It is a sweet sounding preamp.
Hi Phildas
I used EZ80 as a rectifier. This amp is dead quite.

Neat! You still haven't shared with us the power circuit! And a wiring diagram. That will be of great help to newbies like myself. Thanks!
Just wanted to give a heads-up on Miracle transformers.
Miracle Electronics, here in Bangalore, is prompt and responsive for one off orders.
Miracle is super expensive. There are a lot of better alternatives.
First prototype of 2 watts power amplifier using EL95 and EF86
Looks ethereal.
What a great thread. I would think that building a valve amplifier would be much more economically viable in India then in the US, Europe, or Australia. I buy what I can from China cause its cheap and close.I would think India would be both and then more. Surely you can get great quality transformers, chassis etc given the purchase power and the tech knowledge on the Sub continent. My next "business"destination
Trying to revive this thread again in 2015! 🙂
Any one from Bangalore? Who could assemble one for me? I can pay the price + whatever extra required to get the stuff done...
Also, if parts are available at Bangalore, I could get them for the assembly. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure there's still a valve manufacturer still going in India somewhere, I read about it a while back, but for life of me cant remember much more....
EL84 output transfomer
Tried contacting DELTA Transformers. Response as usual, send a email with details, and no response. Finally after following up got a sky rocketing offer.
