Try dropping b+ to 270 and upping the current to 8ma and see how the circuit sound's to you .

the music has a 'fastness' to it that's enjoyable for certain repertoir.

Because I didn't comprehend the effect of using semi conductors,
I studied a little. I'll adjust the loads for more linear amplification.

Try tap at the top of the string of diodes at bottom of R7 rather than the top of R2 . Let us know what you think. Then go a bit larger on the c3 . What type of caps are c3 and c1 ?
