I was asked for a new vented 4000L sub woofer project - obtained by a separation in front of the complete back wall - basicly as to see in the first jpg attachment from post #1 about

and after completion post #15 about

The dimensions of the listening room are 8,50x5,00x2,80 m (after finished the probably bricked separation approximately 7,90x5,00x2,80 m).
The prospective user prefer the Fostex FW800HS. I had advised him, that eight items of Precision Devices' PD2150 will provide the better performance in all respects, larger effective piston area, better price-performance ratio and highest electrical input power (for home audio application I recommend for safety reasons a subwoofer power amplifier with only max. 10 watts output power).
OTOH - the Fostex FW800HS provides extremly low losses in the suspension (Qms nearly 20 !!!)
That ensures perfect clean and tight bass transmission even at extremly low level output.
What are your assessments and estimates to both options ??
At follow the juxtaposition for compare of this two variants
1) 1 Pcs Fostex FW800HS (VAS: 1400L Ots 0,7 - ~ 5200 Euro retail price in Germany)

2) 8 Pcs Precision Devices PD2150 (VAS: 5000L, Qt: 0,2 - ~ 4400 Euro retail price in Germany)

There are also an option with a commercial product; Martin Logan's stacked subwoofer cubes (four/each channel) from the Statement Evolution 2 (8 pcs cubes without dipole panels for mid-high frequencies in used condition ~ 15.000 until 20.000 Euro):

Martin Logan Statement e2 Floorstanding Speakers Reviews
The great benefit here is the possibility of resale without significant losses and greater flexibility in case of moving.
How large could be the drawback in bass-transmission by realizing this option in compared to the first both (until now I have never heard Martin Logan's Statement Evolution 2 subwoofer) ??
