What you have lying in your drawers, Jan !!!! 😉
Only if you would redo it with a more updated chip like the Muses 72320 ....
Cheers,
Patrick

There would be no audible difference, I'm sure. ;-)
I must have this set somewhere still but can't find it right now ...

@jan.didden could you share the PCB layout for the pga board.
I have made one for Pga2311 but I m facing the hissing noise issue when I go above 0 db. I have made mine as per mark Hennessy buffered input.

I read the pdf shared above and I saw your layout with two pga2320 but couldn’t understand if it was ground poured on both layers, you haven’t used op-amp buffer so is there any specific reason.I might, but I must look for it ...

The board I made is single layer.

Input should be 600ohm or less so that is what is creating a whirlwind in my minds and my query was to the input of PGA not the outputThe pga output IS an opamp.
Look in the data sheet.

You could do something very simple with a switchable attenuators for your course volume adjustment (say -30dB). A balanced inline attenuator is only 3 resistors (try to use 1% at least to avoid degrading CMRR), if you disconnect the + to - leg resistor you remove the attenuation. I use -14dB inline attenuators to match the output of my DSP to my amps to optimise SNR and it works great!
Or could you help me get rid of the hiss when I go above 0db gain other wise it is silent. We could connect via pm.I might, but I must look for it ...

It would help me finish the project and enjoy - the amp is LM3886 ( My Ref Rev. A but will convert to Rev C. )
That is hard to say without more info. For example, what is changing significantly when you go above 0dB? Do you insert a gain block?
Can you post a (complete) schematic?

Input to what? Or is it the source output impedance? You mean greater than 600R?Input should be 600ohm or less so that is what is creating a whirlwind in my minds and my query was to the input of PGA not the output

Sure I can do that. Can I PM you the PCB projectThat is hard to say without more info. For example, what is changing significantly when you go above 0dB? Do you insert a gain block?
