1st functioning event speaker was a variation om the MJK/Shearer passive OB with FF85KeN + Eminience Alpha
The baffles are a coffee table top cut in half. Standard height (32"?) but 24" top/28" bottom width.
XO based on Jim's XO using parts in the junk box. Deviations were towards lower XO to compensate for wider baffle. (pics to come)
Sounds pretty good. Still needs work.

Dave,
You haven't included any pics showing the X-over board with those dinky capacitors that you used.

Next up Friday afternoon, was Terry's Million Dollar Babies (those are large dimension US foldy money decorating the box):
This is the same 2-way he was still assembling a couple FESTs ago...

Dave R's 3-way series (2nd & 3rd order series XO, more parts than some of the amps -- quite an accomplishment). These were a big hit & made numerous appearances.

We eagerly awaiting Terry's curved array, now with woofer, but XO work kept it till next AM. A very interesting speaker. Quite enjoyable, when in the sweet spot (Daniel (aka Duo) shown here).

Cal brought a set of Altec 604 for people to poke at. At some point he decided OBs were a good idea.

Looks to have been a great day. Sadly, being a few thousand miles away, I couldn't be there in person, but the spirit was.
You were there en-cabinet Scott. Truly astonishing folded horn design for the Alpair 7's. And then the tribe of Fonkens.... all with your signature sound...thanks for all of them.
The party...er show... was spectacular, with to die for sound everywhere and then there was the pie and ice cream. Thanks Dave. Thanks Ruth! This was a lot of fun and you are both hosts extraordinaire.
ya boyz are all nutz ; and fest was obviously boring ;
and all your speakers sucks !
Yes, I really believe you would have felt quite at home...
Best Regards,
TerryO

We did notice a certain unexplicable "presence" at the Fest, which prompted a conversation about Patrick O'Brian. Was that you?
I always did feel an affinity with Stephen Maturin...

Cheers Bud. Glad you liked them. You guys have inspired me... larger editions will be forthcoming.

Looks like a uncharacteristally un-horny event What happened on the horn front, any new standouts?
They were playing upstairs for the most part.
We missed you Tony............again!
Best Regards,
TerryO
Mark Fenlon sent some hand made Alpair 10 production prorotypes and a set of Jordan JX92S (chinese production (ie EAD) via Jordan-USA). This pair was IMO better (and different) than the last pair i had. JX92S in Jim Griffin box based on curved PE cabinet were compared to Alpair10 Mk2 in Mar-Ken10, CHR-Ken (MK2 CHR), Alpair7 dMar-Ken7.
In one of these pics you'll see the side view of frugel-horn Mk3, alpha2 (need more photos of that too)
