Hey Boeing, I hear there are a bunch of ex-VW managers available, just the thing.
Just another minor glitch, could happen to anybody.

"In a statement Boeing said: "We are saddened by Mr. Barnett's passing, and our thoughts are with his family and friends." "
Ran out of the edit time for above quote, this is what I wanted to add:
Failed 33 of 89 audits
Wow!
During the F.A.A.’s examination, the agency deployed as many as 20 auditors at Boeing and roughly half a dozen at Spirit, according to the slide presentation.
I am surprised at this smallish number of auditors. I have been part of audit teams and we usually deploy between 3 and 7 people to an ISO or event driven audit, where the annual business with the companies we audit is only in the double digit million and no lives are ever at stake.

Self-inflicted shot to the head? Makes perfect sense, because he was in the middle of extensive legal actions against Boeing.
He must have been dreading sitting in all those courtrooms for hours and hours. Completely understandable.

“As a quality manager at Boeing, you’re the last line of defense before a defect makes it out to the flying public,” Mr. Barnett told The Times in 2019.
“And I haven’t seen a plane out of Charleston yet that I’d put my name on saying it’s safe and airworthy.”

Usually these 'suicides' involve 6 or 7 bullets to the back of the head... /sSelf-inflicted shot to the head? Makes perfect sense, because he was in the middle of extensive legal actions against Boeing.
