Late Reply

Hi guys !

Some late replies:

I just got my lillipur in totday. I was just wondering what you have yout settings for contrast, brightnes, red, green, and blue set at? Thanks
Hi mccamp

I´m using it with the default values. RGB values are close to 30 and contrast and bright are 50. When you run the AutoTune function on the OSD the RGB values will change according to the nature of the image the lilliput is displaying at this moment. So I think it must be used while the Lilliput is displaying a test pattern with all the range in black whites and colors to be usefull.

Hey bfourcade, i recieved my bulb today, they've sent me a 400w one instead of a 250w one, i'm just worries about heat at the mo, what temp is your lcd running at, and where did you put the asbestos,
Hi The_Mazta

400w MH bulbs generates a lot of heat. The light box is internally covered with 3 or 4 layers of this material (almost 10mm thick)
Hot air exhaust is covered also. All the MDF is aisled with this material and some of the panel box.

hi i was wondering how thick is the sheet of ALUMINIUM your using and is it aluminium or something else. Thanks alot
Hi Neo

I´m not using aluminium in my proyector because it is expensive here. The cover is entirely made on Iron Plate or sheet (I dont know the exact name in English). Offcourse aluminium plate will make a much lighther proyector.

Total shipped was u$s280. You may want look for a model with VGA input because of the higher resolution. None of the Lilliputs are PAL-N compatible.

hi, here my results with the 250w kit, and 7" lilliput picture is 6ft wide, 200" diagnol,

Hi The_Mazta

Sorry for this late reply.

Congratulations, the proj looks great !!!

I´ve only managed to get the ribbon for the frontal panel in my city. I cant get the ribbon for the controler board, but it is not really necesary (using the Lilliput in that position).

I´d got the ribbon from an Electronic components store. It is common 1mm step flat cable. I get mine with an extra track that I´ve cutted on one side.

Regards,

Bernardo.

My Projector "Reloaded"

Hi Guys, I've completely rebuilt my projector using the same design than before but improving air cooling and overall size (smaller than before!)

I've added some electronic as Ace did, that automate all the functions (Starting and shutting down the bulb and coolers automatically when the Lilliput goes on and letting the cooller work for 2 minutes once shutted off for extra cooling)
All the proj now is operated with the Lilliput remote control, so my wife is really happy now !

I've improved air cooling inverting one of the fans that takes air from the panel box into the Light box using a second fan for extracting air from the light box to the back off the projector.

Some pics:
Same process as the previous model but smaller: Here is the MDF 9mm base...

Front panel ...

Now the Fujinon Copy lens slides smoothly over a 3" bass reflect tube cutted and cemented over the front panel. Really easy, precise and cheap way to mount the Fujinon copy lens 😉
