6BQ5 replacement

I also use a Mac and I've been using the drawing portion of the ancient AppleWorks program to draw schematics. But it is only supported on very old Macs and I have an ancient Mac Mini devoted to its use. It would be nice to be able to use my slightly less ancient Macs for this purpose.

I followed the link but didn't see a drawing program. Could you provide a more specific link? Is it downloadable or online? Any chance you'd be willing to share your symbol library?

Perhaps a new thread on the subject would be in order as this one seems to have veered off course already. Or send me a PM.

Wrong URL. https://www.vectorworks.net/en-CA

I guess there are 2 different VectorWorks.

Note that the software is not cheap.

My symbol library is really a set of groups, spread out across a zillion drawings. It would take considerable time to gather them all together.

Note that the EL84/6BQ5 is operated exactly according to the datasheet. Hence, I don't see to get the circuit complicated by featuring a bias adjust potentiometer. Just provide a cathode resistor of 135 Ω ( 2 x 270 Ω in ||), that's enough.

Best regards!
