Manufacturer - Part Number - Datasheet? I'm asking because I didn't find a very good match with the information in your message.
It's usually like this:

Strange that you have datasheet but not the required data 🙂 Ime there is usually printed code to describe the +/- pins. It can be many caps in one package or just one cap with supporting pins. Check again any printed codes (or molded on the base near the pins), or other graphics code and painted pins
Its a vishay MKP 200uF. 450v Its grey, square, has 6 pins out the bottom and no markings anywere. The data sheet indicates six pins but not how they are connected. think i have it sorted with the meter but i would like to Know!@
You're right, I couldn't find anything there either. Take my poached drawing [from another Vishay datasheet] and DUG's elaborate "ohmmeter" message. Together they ought to provide the answer and nothing could possibly go wrong.
Either the pins are connected to one end of the cap or the other or are just for support.
Sorry, I've run out of ideas.
🙂
ohmmeter.

Yes. Three pins on one side continuos
Same on the other. Plates in between. 6 pins to stick it to a PCB
If I was making them I might add a couple of dots or something. They don't give them away!!(the capacitors)
Thanks
