The PCB is thru-hole and the opamp is a socketed DIP-8, which TI does not offer for the LME49990. More importantly, after the board achieved its modest set of research objectives, I retired it.
why use a tl431 voltage as levelshift (1/f noise in the loop) ? why not use a resistor as there is a current source feeding it ..
Please feel free to do that if you build your own regulator. With a 10mA current source and 5V drop you'd need about a 500 ohm resistor.
