Problem is that DIACs are very inacutate devices, as their breakdown voltage ranges from 28 to 36 volts!
I vote for the Mackie solution. Comparator driven crowbars in the power supply. It has well defined DC limit, and looks foolprof, if the PCB is well designed.

Guy's, what about something like this. Isn't this a better solution ?

59Vdc supply rails and 4ohms load will give ~ 50Vpk, equal to about 300W into 4ohms.
For that you will need ~ 1500W of total Pmax.
4pair of MJL1302 will meet that requirement.

4pair of MJL1302 will meet that requirement.
I have 59V AC=82V DC.
Use minimum 7 pairs for Your amplifier. V/I limiter is necessary.

7 pairs? Why states apex 90Vdc up to 4 pairs?
Ask him! You will definitely kill You output devices with such a high voltage.
Crest Audio FA2400, or PRO4601 using 85V, and 7 pairs of output devices.

1500W??? brigded 4R?? I have stereo amplifier 2x 500W 4R non brigded.59Vdc supply rails and 4ohms load will give ~ 50Vpk, equal to about 300W into 4ohms.

4pair of MJL1302 will meet that requirement.
Therefore ask whether it is safe to 2x 59Vac.

1500W sec: 2x60v + 2x18v for protect,

50Vac should get near the 500W into 4ohms target.
55Vac should comfortably exceed the 500W into 4ohms target.
60Vac is far too high !

Nice work, with +/-78VDC output will be about 50v RMS or 650W/4R.

sir, my b500 tef is not working ....at very low volume sound is good at medium volume distortion but at high volume it's very much distorted ..my supply voltage is +50 0 -50v dc in bias i used 1.5k instead of 1.2k...and used 47k instead of 43k....please help me ..

Sir,this is my version...is this ok??or have to change for 50 0 50 v dc??it's working but audio output is very low 5v ac at output no distortion...but at higher input audio it's totally distorted...

Thanks Apex...
Thanks Apex...
b500 driver
hi sir Mile,
and others....
i would like to ask if using TIP41C and TIP42C as Driver with BD139 on my B500 is correct because the suppliers here in my place no longer provide stock for MJE15032/33 and even the C4793 and A1837.
on output i use TTA1943/TTC5200, because 2A and 2S version according to them no longer available if there is more certainly its fake.
what will be the safe traffo supply?
my existing traffo was 2x55AC 8Amps.
or shall i use same as O/P C5200 and A1943 as driver
Pls guide me wether to adjust my traffo or in the circuit?
Thnk you so much
