Does anyone know of a low dropout regulator that can take 35V or more on the input? Only needs to supply about 50mA. Thanks.
Thanks Jack. That one can only do 20mA. Not enough.
Also, I need it to be available in a leaded package so I can breadboard easily.

Hi,
Dgta, why do you need LDO ? To made 34V with 35V ?
LDO are generally use with low voltage.

Yes, I have a circuit where I need to regulate to 30V and under the worst conditions my input + ripple will be below 32V. I tried a 317 and it's not good enough.
Build one with a Pchannel mosFET as the series element.
Or make a -ve supply with an Nchannel mosFET.

Supertex LR12 -- Mouser carries them, or you can just request samples from the company. You can also use a LED driver.

Yes. Thank you. That barely does what I need, but it does.
Interesting part. It has an open collector output. So it's only LDO with respect to the power input, as long as you can provide a higher voltage for the control input. If you only have one input voltage, then it's only semi- LDO at 1.2V in-out.

lt1083/4/5, officially it isnt meant for this high voltage, but as long as you respect the input-output differential it will take a couple hundred volts
