ormen,
A decade ago I built a small MLTL for the Mark Audio Alpair 6 driver (first generation version). I did compare simulation models of the MLTL with a Model 6.1 driver to second generation 6.2 units. You can read of my comparison in the thread linked below.
A folded MLTL version with your driver could be adapted to your desire for a book shelf unit.

Thank you Jim. I almost can't wait to listen to them. All though I expect a bit less from a bookshelf version.
Have any of you experimented with vibration membranes? And whats your thoughts?

Do you mean DMLs?
dave
I have no idea what DMLs means. Sorry. Honestly, I really don't understand many of the different terms.
This what I'm thinking about. Not that one exactly but that kind of system.

Those are passive radiatorrs. A sunstitute for a vent if the box is small, the tuning is low and a real vent would be too large to pratctically implement.
I am noa big fan, but they serve a purpose.

Okay, thank you. I find them interesting. I have this thought that it will create a delay in the mostly low end. But I have no idea. One thing is for shure, I'm more into your idea of a good speaker design. I was just curious.
I find it a bit difficult to find some proper information on them. But it would be very interesting if you played around with it to see if there's something to it, or if it will completely mess up a perfectly good speaker of your design.
I found this guy, but nothing makes sense to me. I'm completely lost when it comes to graphs.

That speaker has lots of buzzwords, but also a lot of hyperbole.

Allright. Your words has been spoken. Let's forget about it.
Let's stick to your trusted 3.6L portet box. How do I pay for the plans?
That box is a whole lot bigger than 3.6litre. And i expect the ribbon alone costs as much as the whole box and driver for the uMar-Ken5.

Well. What ever I end up with, I'm looking so much forward to work with them. I really try hard to lower my expectations. I'm used to a fantastic and pretty large setup with florstanding speakers. I think It's good these are for my bedroom. That said, I have heard the 6M' before, and I had the Frugel-Horm MK3 with alpair 7. I kinda miss the crisp sound.
