Could Diyers see how First Watt B1 Triode work in Pass Pub audio system demonstration at BAF 2017 ?

I will bring one.
The circuit is quite close to the Korg example - there was not a lot to be
done to improve it, as they seem to have done their homework. I did
give it some slightly better Jfet buffers.
It produces an adjustable 2nd harmonic which can be made pretty pure,
with the 3rd harmonic as much as 30 dB below the 2nd.
Works like a charm, especially with Sony VFET amps.

Lucky BAF Diyers who see how this new B1 Triode glow and hear feel in presented audio system.
Adjustable harmonics

2SK77B and 2SK180 need low input impedance source.
Step by step i build hockey puck Schade Feedback triode simulation amp
who have the same 20 dB of gain and need low 25 Ohm input impedance as well.
Buffers with passive attenuators are such wonderful tools for equilibre of gain chain structure
and frequency response bandwith preservation. Very interesting

I think the nutube to sweeten the D and distort properly as a guitar amp should.
The D to get decent power out of an amp that fits on a pedal board.

B1 Triode are for High-Fidelity application and potentialy i guess is excellent candidate for duo with 2SK77B and 2SK180 amplifiers ??

One Trick Pony
I notice that special effects, like 2nd harmonic distortion, are best done once.
If you follow a triode like this with a single-ended amp also having lots of 2nd
you are likely to not care for the result as much.
Similarly with transformer sound - I have a B1 with transformer-based gain,
but I don't care for it as much driving amplifiers also using the transformer.

Beast of a thousand Nanotubes!
Non doubt is typo Nanotubes is

Mr Pass B1 Triode is made with Nutube from Korg and Noritake itron company's.

If you have a single ended design converted to balanced by transformers at the input and output, will this cascading in your opinion have a similar not so nice sound to it? Of course I assume the electronics is able to drive the transformer at the output.

Is this mainly because the phase difference between different 2nd harmonic generators (triode circuit)?
I also remember that Srajan said that DHT magic disappears when they are not used as an output device, which I thought interesting.

I agree some times is just too much "honey" but Audiophiles like it this game
and is pleasure explore audio system different configurations.
Ok so B1 Triode are best with 3nd harmonic like Vfet push-pull and the others amplifiers with lots of third.
External potentiometers for that harmonics purpose
or switch for buffer circuit and potentiometer back ~ in front positions
for low-high impedance input and output permutations change?
Highly enjoyable to play together with First Watt and Diy amplifiers.
Innovate DHTriodes with the jfet's pairs circuit 😉 Congratulations

I think the SIT 1 is the coolest looking amplifier in the last 50 years!
I've only heard the SIT 2 however... 😀

True, and there is no harm in trying it for yourself.

With a high 2nd reinforced with more high 2nd, the effect just doesn't work as well.
If you have low 2nd and then high, not such a problem.
If the two 2nd's are out of phase with each other, that's another story...

Very interesting, thank you.
