2SK170 phono pre (Le Pacific) gets overloaded

Isn't this because a loop is created between the phono EQ and the Lch and Rch of the preamplifier after it because it branches to two PS units from the midpoint of one transformer?
To check, unplug one pin cable and see if the hum on the connected side goes away. If it disappears, it is effective to use two transformers.
Even in that case, do not connect the two GNDs on the PSU side.
I think it's fine to keep one PS.

Thanks for the help mason_f8.
Found a second transformer to power each PSU separately and now seems to be working dead-silent!

Pleasing results from this subtle little circuit, coupled with a Shure M55 with Jico Kurogaki stylus.
Will share a recorded sample for anyone interested.

Hello.

'Le Pacific' with a Shure M55 Kurogaki, in WAV format 16-bit @48kHz.
Higher resolution samples are possible but I think the above resolution is sufficient.

Sounds pretty good for such a basic design, with a low parts count.
The Kurogaki stylus does helps in better articulating the character of this amazing little phono preamp.
