If the tabs of the outputs in opposite banks aren't directly connected (check with an ohm meter), which tabs are swinging towards the power supply rails?
its a group of 9640s.i pulled them and the amp came out of protection.i checked them and put them back in it went back into protection.
If that group of outputs (640s and 9640s) is not defective, check the driver transistors on the end of the driver board nearest those outputs. You can confirm that they're the drivers for that half of the amp by checking continuity between the gates of the outputs and the driver transistors.
I'm assuming that you mean that none were shorted.
Did you confirm that both junctions were intact for each driver transistor?

Shorted transistors should be obvious.
Did you confirm that none were open (all junctions intact)?

yes everything tested good nothing read near 0 ohms.i test for junctions. take it out of circuit? also how to look up smd components?
The SMD Code Book
If you're not 100% sure of the results with them in the circuit, remove them and confirm that there are no open junctions.

Generally, you use the markings to look up the part numbers. In some instances, you'll have to measure the case with a dial or digital micrometer to get the right part. This isn't foolproof but it generally gets you close.
On your board, you likely have transistors marked DK and AG. Unfortunately, this site doesn't seem to work for these transistors (didn't realize until I looked them up). I think they're more likely to be the 2SC4672 and the 2SA1797 than the Philips transistors indicated on the site. Look up the datasheets for the transistors I listed.

i found the data sheet the package are the same.
